What motivated him to join the CHRP program, and how did it influence his approach to HR?

Joshua recalled, “I discovered the Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) program back in 2017 while searching for ways to sharpen my HR competencies. I was fortunate to be part of Batch 6 — and since then, my HR practice and overall career trajectory have grown significantly.” He explained that the program gave him practical knowledge that not only improved his HR functions but also expanded his ability to address broader business challenges related to people and culture.

How CHRP has helped him grow in career and practice

Reflecting on his journey, he said, “One of the most valuable parts of the experience was learning from my classmates. I was surrounded by professionals from incredibly diverse backgrounds — including those at executive levels. As someone who was still rank-and-file at the time, hearing their insights during group discussions gave me a wider and more strategic view of HR.”

He added that the continuous trainings and regular CHRP programs helped him stay aligned with evolving practices, inspiring him to pursue even more certifications: “In fact, I was proud to be part of the pioneer batch of the Certified Human Resource Manager (CHRM) program, which I completed in November 2023. This is one of the 8 certifications that I currently have.”
