Marianne M. Almogen, CHRP, has a primary experience is in academia as an Instructor I at the College of Business and Accountancy of Catanduanes State University, where her specialization is listed as Human Resource Management. In this role, she has applied her HR expertise by serving as an adviser and panel evaluator for numerous undergraduate thesis projects focused on HR-related topics such as mental health support, employability skills, and emotional intelligence.
Her commitment to the HR field is further demonstrated by her active membership in professional organizations, including the International Federation of Professional Managers and the Human Resource Educators’ Association of the Philippines. She maintains her professional knowledge by attending relevant conferences, such as the 59th Certified Human Resource Professional Program in July 2025.
How Did She Discover CHRP Philippines
“Whenever people ask me about my greatest investment, my answer may sound cliché, but it is education. Even before pursuing CHRP, I had already taken several steps in advancing my professional growth and continuous learning. In May 2023, I earned my Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) by March 2025 .Just last June 2025, I proudly graduated with my Master in Business Administration at Catanduanes State University.”
She first came across CHRP through Facebook while searching for internationally recognized certifications. Already motivated by her CHRP success, she set her sights on CHRP to strengthen her knowledge and global standards in HR practice.
“I first discovered CHRP through Facebook. Since I had already passed the CHRP assessment, which was at the national level, I wanted to push myself further by taking an examination with international recognition. While exploring opportunities, I came across the CHRP page, and it immediately caught my interest.”
“I had initially planned to take it last year, but due to several obligations and commitments, I had to postpone it. Still, I told myself that this was something I could not set aside any longer. This summer, I finally committed to taking the CHRP journey because I want to keep learning, growing, and developing both as an educator and as an HR practitioner.”
“For me, CHRP was not just about adding another credential but about strengthening my credibility and ensuring that the knowledge I share with students and apply in practice reflects international standards and best practices in HR.”
How CHRP Helped Her Career
For Marianne, CHRP transformed her career by shifting her HR lens from operational to strategic. It gave her global perspectives and frameworks that she actively applies in the classroom, in organizational settings, and in her community work. More importantly, it connected her with a network of professionals equally committed to growth.
“The CHRP certification has helped me tremendously in my role as both an educator and an HR practitioner. It has enhanced the way I approach HR, not just from a functional or operational perspective, but with a more strategic mindset. It made me more intentional in connecting people practices to organizational goals and outcomes.”
“In my daily work, I apply the principles I learned from CHRP in designing learning experiences, evaluating HR practices, and even in how I guide students to see the bigger picture of HR’s impact. The certification gave me structured frameworks and global perspectives that I can adapt in both academic and community extension programs.”
“What made the journey even more meaningful was the people I met along the way. I had the privilege of learning alongside professionals and experts who, like me, are eager to grow and develop further in the HR field. Being part of this community made the experience richer. It is not only about gaining knowledge but also about building connections, sharing insights, and supporting each other’s growth.”
“I would recommend CHRP to other HR practitioners. Beyond the credential, it is about continuous learning, professional credibility, and joining an organization that offers many opportunities and benefits to its members. For me, it is not just an achievement to list down, but a valuable tool that pushes you to be better, more relevant, and more impactful in the field of Human Resources.”
