- To promote among HR professionals the highest standards of quality and competency
- To advocate and enforce upon all members the discipline of professional conduct and ethical practice in their relations with employers, clients, and the general public
- To conduct research and develop training programs that will advance among members the common body of knowledge of HR management
- To provide professional standards to members and recognize members through the awarding of the Certified HR Professional (CHRP®) designation
